Teenagers*(flier)
Katy Russell, the Youth Team and Fr Roderick Jones OSB

‘New Chapter’
The Teenage Weekends are run to give young people the space they need to explore their faith and also build valuable friendships. There are opportunities for private reflection, prayer, games, music and hot chocolate.
Cost for weekends: £76 per person

For Older Teenagers: Ages 14-18 (School Years 10-13)
The weekends for older teenagers take place in a weekend in January and October half term.

2012 January 13th – 15th
2012 October 26th – 28th

One of the main aims of the older teenage weekends is to provide a space for them to engage with their faith and ask the important questions about life, the universe and everything! Prayer, reflection and discussion, time for sport, creative activities, relaxing and making friends are all part of the weekend.

For Younger Teenagers: Ages 11-14 (School Years 7 – 10)
2012 June 1st - 3rd
2012 December 7th - 9th

These fun packed weekends offer the chance for spiritual and personal growth through the experience of friendship and community. Our time together includes a healthy balance of reflection, sport, creative activities and times of prayer with the monks.

Teenagers and Young Adults Summer Activities Week*
2012 August 12th – 19th (7 days, Sunday to Sunday)

Three seperate groups for different ages, organised by the LCSB*:
A) Teenagers aged 11-18 ( Years 7 - 13);
B) Young Adults aged 18 -24;
C) adults 25+
These retreats provide opportunities for young people to spend a longer period of time together exploring the call of the Gospel, including formation, creative activities and prayer with the monastic community. As with the other teenage retreats, theirs will be a balance of games, activities and prayer. A great way to round off the summer!

The week leads into the Lay Community of St Benedict’s Summer Gathering, with approximately 100 people joining us at Worth over the weekend of 17th-19th. The weekend will include a formation day further exploring aspects of Benedictine life for lay people, a ceilidh, and other community activities.
