(arranged by date)

Summer and Autumn Stillness: Reflective Retreats.
2010 June 14th – 17th – Fr Luke Jolly OSB
2010 September 27th – 30th – Fr Patrick Fludder OSB
From late afternoon of the first day (Monday) until after lunch on the last (Thursday).

Jesus said to them, “Come away with me. Let us go alone to a quiet place and rest for a while.” (Mark 6:31).
Take time away with Jesus in the stillness of Worth Abbey Church, the Quiet Garden and retreat house at the best (we hope!) part of the summer and autumn months. These mostly silent retreats will be structured around the monastic liturgy with the majority of the time for silent personal reflection, reading and prayer. These are not suitable for those coming on retreat for the first time.

Per person, single room £213 (£150); shared room £198 (£141)

Living Sanctuary (Monday - Thursday)
The Monastic Team
2010 January 11th – 14th
2010 October 4th – 7th

From late afternoon of the first day (Monday) until after lunch on the last (Thursday).

This retreat is for those who have already experienced a retreat at Worth Abbey and who wish to experience ‘living sanctuary’ for a longer period. Immersion into the pattern of the monastic prayer will be the principal aim, enabling participants to explore their own faith journey through silence, reading and prayer. There will also be an opportunity to speak with personal prayer guides and to participate in discussions.

Per person, single room £213 (£150); shared room £198 (£141)

Other weekday events may be arranged and will be published here. If you are interested in holding your own group retreat here using our facilities, you need to apply (to the Bookings Secretary) by May 2009 to be sure of our availablility throughout 2010. However, there is less presure on weekdays than weekends so you may be able to book closer to your desired date.

2011
