Family ‘HolyDays’ for the Young (under 12)

(4 days, Monday pm to Friday am)

An opportunity for families with young children (normally under 12 but slightly older siblings are welcome too) to have a holiday in the country with other families in this safe and holy Christian space. Shared children’s activities and outings. There will be some discussion time with a monk for the ‘grown-ups’ while the children do their own activities.

Bermondsey Huts
A camping site in the South Eastern corner of Worth Abbey Estate (see HERE).
“Camping for softies” and an economic holiday in the countryside for large families, parish groups, special needs or friends.
Thanks to the generosity and volunteer efforts of just a few people, the Bermondsey Huts have been cleaned, refurbished and painted. So come and enjoy this wonderful resource now. Up to 10 can sleep on mattresses in the small hut; up to eighty can camp on the acre of grass. Water, drainage, gas, kitchen, two showers, seven WCs, rain-proof Day Room and solar-powered lighting are all available.
Open May to October.
£5.00 per person per night.
Non-returnable deposit and minimum charge of £50 on booking.

Our accommodationis particularly suited to retreats for families (see: St Bruno's and Compass). Weekdays are more available than weekends. Contact the Bookings Secretary by May 2012 to be sure of our availablility throughout 2013.
