Individual and group bookings
These Quiet Fridays are exclusively for individuals to have a time of quiet and reflection. We continue to welcome men and women of all Christian denominations and none. Parishes or organisations wishing to bring a group of people will be asked to arrange their own separate day or attend other day retreats – please contact the bookings secretary.
Maintaining a prayerful atmosphere
Most visitors value the opportunity of silent prayer and reflection on these days, so we
try to ensure that the days follow a pattern that fosters a prayerful environment. We
ask all to respect the silence and stillness of the others.

A Step Away (leaflet) - Days designed for anyone not in a faith community or church or on the edge of a faith community or church.

at Worth Abbey (BBC's "The Monastery") on Saturdays:
2008 February 9
2008 April 19
2008 May 17
2008 July 12
and at the Convent of Poor Clares, Arundel (BBC's "The Convent") on Thursdays:

2008 March 13
2008 May 22
2008 June 19

Time and space to explore, to reflect, to share. Primarily recognising the importance of each individual’s own spiritual experience, these days offer an opportunity to affirm and widen that experience.
Topics will include:
- Listening
- Praying/Dialogue
- Human Being/Spiritual Being
This is not a ‘how to’ course. Using a ‘creative listening’ method and different experiences of ‘prayer’ (in its broadest sense), each person is encouraged to explore their spiritual journey in small, facilitated groups.
The days will run from 10:00 to 16:00
Each day will stand alone but participants are welcome to come to all of them as a series.
Please bring a packed lunch – tea, coffee, etc., provided.
Per person: £26 payable in advance please.
See also: Support Days for Spiritual Directors; the 'Learning Days' are open to all.

Other day events may be arranged and will be published here. If you are interested in holding your own group retreat here using our facilities, you need to apply (to the Bookings Secretary) at least three months ahead of your booking date.
